- Riga Chamber Choir, conductor Imants Kokars. This CD contains a selection of songs illustrate the changes that occurred in traditionally romantic Latvian choral writing during this period: composers turned to large-scale forms and acquired techniques of choral writing prevalent in the second half of the 20th century, at times using instrumental-type textures, aleatory techniques or new and unusual sonorities as primary thematic elements, at times being influenced by the world of contemporary popular music.
