A reproduction of a 6th-12th century A.D. ring worn by girls and young unmarried women in Latvia. Also known as an engagement ring or 7-day ring. It has seven tiny pendants with ancient Latvian ornaments that keep away evil spirits and bring luck...A legend says that there was a young and beautiful girl who had seven admirers and she couldn't choose which of them to marry. The girl went to the blacksmith and asked him to make a ring with seven pendants, each with a different symbol on it. Each symbol symbolized one admirer. She decided to marry the man whose pendant fell off first.
