Food Department Special - Bread Care Tips |
For your fullest enjoyment of our delicious Baltic breads please observe the following instructions:
Refrigeration - Freezing. Rye breads will keep three to four weeks in the refrigerator, up to 3-4 months in the freezer.
Keep double bagged and squeeze air from bag for longer freshness.
Defrosting. Leave the bread in its bag at room temperature for 3 to 4 hours. Then crisp in a 375 degree (F)
oven for 8 to 12 minutes to restore to a hardy crust if desired. Once crisped, bread should be eaten soon afteward.
It can also be defrosted in the refrigerator overnight. Keep out of heat and sun.
