edition book by sports reporter and columnist Steve Cameron. Cameron is
the author of other sports-oriented books, including commemorates on the
Green Bay Packers, Portland Trail Blazers and a biography of baseball
legend George Brett.
This inside look at the San Jose Sharks
organization captures the birth of the team through the fairy tale 93-94
season in which Latvia's dynamic duo of Arturs Irbe and Sandis Ozolinsh
helped the team become Stanley Cup contenders. The 160-page
embossed-cover book includes numerous color photographs with a
particular emphasis given to goalie Arturs Irbe. This is a limited
edition book with a print run of 5,000 copies; each book is individually
hand-numbered. Included is a hand-autographed glossy color photograph
of Arturs Irbe in his current Riga 2000 uniform. Irbe is a board member
of the Kids First Fund and autographed the photos on November 15, 2005
in Riga, Latvia. Irbe donated the books and photographs to benefit the
Kids First Fund and its projects in Latvia.
